There is considerable case law on gross misconduct in relation to commenting in public and bringing your employment into disrepute.

We need to be reminded again to be mindful of what is put on social media pages such as Facebook and Twitter. A number of recent examples have raised fears that staff may not realise that, although they are at home, they are still bound by the rules around patient confidentiality and Caldicott etc.
