Royal Collage of Paramedics Block Insurance Cover
Recently, there has been a trend in staff working for West Midlands Ambulance Service joining The Royal College of Paramedics instead of a recognised union
Whilst staff are well within their rights to choose who they pay their subscription fees to, it is worth bearing in mind that The Royal College of Paramedics offer NO cover should you be unfortunate enough to be called to the HCPC.
This is due to an exclusion in their policy that states: -
Notable exclusions:
- Any claims arising from the members main employment
- Claims arising from any paid work where total earnings exceed £5,000 per annum -
This means that The Royal College of Paramedics would offer no cover for any incident that occurred whilst you were working for West Midlands Ambulance Service!
