Robert King rose through the ranks of the 999 service to become operations manager but did not tell chiefs that he was behind bars for a 'queer bashing' murder when he was younger. Arrested after crashing ambulance into a shop when under the influence of alcohol. Bosses later discovered he had been found guilty of murdering a gay photographer over 30 years ago.
