Public sector workers in the West Midlands face pay cuts of around six per cent – with the money used to increase salaries for London workers, Treasury documents have revealed. Plans to impose a local pay regime, published alongside the Budget, also showed that secondary school teachers and paramedics were likely to be targeted for cuts.
